About the role
As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining sorters, conveyors, crushers and shredders
  • Installations and repairs
  • Fault finding and preventative duties
  • Participate in breakdowns and root cause analysis
  • Working in a mixed trades maintenance team

To be successful, you will possess the following:

  • Trade qualified Industrial Mechanical Fitters
  • Would also consider boilermakers with fixed plant maintenance experience
  • Exceptional team player
  • Tig & Mig Welding and fabrication is a must have skill as there is a lot of plate patching
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Salary:
$48.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Experience:

  • TIG welding: 2 years (required)
  • MIG welding: 2 years (required)
  • Fabrication: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Mechanical Fitter qualification (required)
  • Boilermaker qualification (required)
