The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50+ services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

We are currently recruiting for a Coordinator on a Full-Time basis to join our team at our The YMCA Everleigh Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service.

In this position, you will be the leader of the service responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the other Coordinators, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

Your workspace at the Y

The YMCA Everleigh Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is situated next to the family's car park and drop and go at Everleigh State School. We are occupying some beautiful and fresh rooms within the Hall.

The service we provide at YMCA Everleigh OSHC includes:

· Before School Care (with breakfast included)

· After School Care

· Vacation Care

At The Y Everleigh we will be supporting our children with Homework Club offered on the day homework is given to children by their Teachers. This will help those busy families get a head start for the week. Please note this is an option and we will be providing a quiet space for them if they wish to complete homework under encouraging supervision.

Started in July 2022 The Y Everleigh would like to introduce some working groups to encourage children to contribute to keeping our world beautiful and resourceful through sustainability and recycling. We would like our children to learn new skills such as musical and drama talents.

As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with:

· The development of quality programs;

· Manage the day to day running of the programs;

· Coordinate staffing and rostering of staff;

· Ensure compliance with policy;

· Undertake administrative requirements;

· Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

· Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);

· Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;

· Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;

· Excellent customer service skills;

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

· First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;

· Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.

· NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
