About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef de Partie - Pastry to join the Black Star Pastry team in our St Kilda Production Kitchen working on our famous Strawberry Watermelon Cake.

We're on the hunt for a Pastry Chef dedicated to the highest quality standards, producing a beautiful product and providing outstanding customer experience.

About You

• 2-3 year's experience as a Pastry Chef.
• Ideally experience working in a Production Kitchen.
• Team players with a positive attitude.
• Passionate about customer experience and product quality.
• Commitment to food safety.
• Ability to deal with the repetitive nature of a high-volume, fast-paced production kitchen and maintain the highest quality and service standards.

Black Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with stores across Sydney and Melbourne.

We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which has become a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it "the world's most instagrammed cake."
