The Role
Ventia is a leading maintenance service provider supporting the Australian Defence Force. We are currently seeking experienced Electronic Technicians to perform all trade related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of electronic devices in vehicles, plant and equipment. This is a permanent full-time role working 6:45am to 3:30pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am to 12:00pm Friday. 38 hour per week unless OT specifically requested by client.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification, for which they are competent and qualified within time frames specified in Work Orders, to the required Work Standards and/or the standard detailed in materiel specific instructions.


This may include (but is not limited to):

  • Performing system checks on vehicles, communications, combat management systems and sensor equipment, to ensure equipment is in full working order.
  • Effectively diagnose electronic faults and fix to ensure systems are running smoothly.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and contract specific requirements.
  • You'll gain exposure to many different systems and machinery. These include RADAR systems and display, Surveillance and Control Equipment and Satellite equipment (GPS, SATCOM)

Skills and experience

  • Minimum requirement: Cert III Electronics OR Cert III Electronic Technology.
  • Knowledge and practical experience on complex communication and/or electronic systems maintenance, support, design, or installation.
  • Exhibit strong mechanical and electronic/electrical aptitude.
  • Possess a current Australian driver's licence for C (manual).
  • Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level
  • As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
