Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production, this diverse role is focused on the effective and efficient management of the production department to meet customer, quality and delivery expectations, minimise costs and build employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with manager to establish Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People targets and goals for areas of responsibility.
Identify activities required to meet goals.
Plan, execute and report on implementation of these activities.
Ensure yearly direct headcount recruiting, training and cross-training plans are in place and executed for each department.
Where unplanned issues arise, expected to gather the appropriate production and functional team members to identify root cause(s), implement corrective/preventative actions and communicate outcome with manager.
Provide ongoing formal and informal coaching, mentoring and feedback for team, including recognizing employees for their contributions.In return for your hard work and commitment you will have access to the following: Stability of a long-established company Values recognition and service awards Base salary plus performance based quarterly bonus Annual Leave Loading Subsidised cafeteria Ongoing support, training and development Strong inclusive culture that values its people To succeed in this role, you must have the following: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, medicine, manufacturing technology, or another relevant scientific discipline, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background essential.
Demonstrated leadership skills/experience in a manufacturing setting essential, a medical device or other regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing theory and implementation essential.
Knowledge and experience in leading change/change management essential.
Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/ISO/FDA regulations essential Candidates applying to this role must be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia.
