The Role


FHR currently have an opportunity for an experienced HSE Advisor on a 6-month contract for our highly recognised client specializing in the Manufacturing based in Lytton.


Key Responsibilities

_ Contract Duration - February to August 2023_


As this project involves relocating a sizeable company to its much larger new site, you will need to have experience of implementing HSE policies and procedures within the construction sector.


Manufacturing experience and a knowledge of HSE when it comes to heavy duty machinery and fixed plant is also preferred.


General tasks will require you to:

  • Design, implement and provide input into the HSE plans and ensure these are in line with project, business and legislative requirements.
  • Undertake HSE inspections and assessments. Report, document, and identify actions as necessary, and ensure they are implemented.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Project Manager in ensuring all project undertakings are in line with the project HSE plans.
  • Review subcontractor documentation for compliance with the project plans.
  • Manage site works and subcontractor activities throughout the duration of the project to ensure defectfree handover.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the extended project team to achieve project goals.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of implementing HSE policies and procedures within the construction sector
  • Hold minimum of Diploma of Health & Safety Management
  • Current first aid qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in relocating businesses into new premises and implementing supporting HSE procedures and processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislative and best practice HSE policies; good knowledge of the Australian Standards; contract terms and conditions; industrial relations.
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office suite
  • Analysis and problemsolving skills to respond appropriately to a range of project requirements
  • The ability to communicate clearly with others while working autonomously
