Your future role:


As the Signalling Engineering Manager for New South Wales, you will be accountable for leading the delivery of a successful Signalling solution in collaborating with multiple of teams, such as the CBI Centre of Excellence in Melbourne, ETCS teams in ANZ, interlocking teams in the APAC region, and the Main Line Platform team in Europe.

Reporting to the Engineering Department Head, your role entails handling the Signalling technical interface with Transport for NSW, Sydney Trains and other stakeholders, partners, and subcontractors.

A critical aspect of your role is nurturing and developing a high-performing signalling design team in NSW, ensuring they have the relevant competencies to excel in their roles.


We'll look to you for:

  • Managing the technical contractual scope of the projects for the Signalling subsystem
  • Overseeing the signalling solution, including the customization and specific configuration of the generic solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance commitments
  • Functionally lead the NSW Signalling engineering team
  • Managing the interface with the project core teams

All about you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
  • Extensive experience in the railway signalling industry including conventional signalling in NSW
  • Proven experience and knowledge of TfNSW and Sydney Trains procedures, guidelines, process and requirements
  • Engineering background including project deployment full lifecycle view
  • Handson experience on functional and/or performance team management
  • Cost and planning control experience in an engineering scope
  • Ability to interface with and build Customer relationships
  • Commercially and contractual astute
