As a seasoned financial Reporting Manager, you will oversee the direction of financial reporting & taxation at the Bank.

This includes leading a team that interprets accounting/tax issues, formulates related policy, and advises key internal and external stakeholders via formal and informal reporting.

You will also focus on leading, developing and empowering your team of four Reporting Analysts to achieve goals and deliver quality outcomes in financial reporting for the RBA.


Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting as part of the Finance Team, you will be a trusted Manager who can lead, develop, and motivate a team to ensure high quality delivery of business needs.

This covers the production of accurate and timely reporting and advice relating to accounting, taxation sustainability reporting and superannuation.


Your background- Defining, developing and delivering high quality consolidated or specific reports for internal and external audiences.- Overseeing financial reporting actives including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.- Understanding of the importance of internal controls, and how these relate to financial statements.- Stakeholder engagement providing reporting, advice and insights, to deliver accurate and timely accounting, taxation and superannuation reporting and advisory services that contribute to the organisation's strategic goals.- Team Management to lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively achieve quality outcomes.- Identify, resolve and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate processes are in place.- Manage internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including outsourced service providers and auditors.- Experience analysing accounting and financial issues and advising management on these issues.- Experience analysing superannuation policy, advising the Bank on relevant policy, negotiating with an external trustee, and managing a relationship with lawyers and actuaries to achieve desired outcomes.- Practical understanding of key emerging trends, including sustainability reporting.- Good understanding and technical expertise in the area under management, including knowledge of key practices, standards, and legislation.

Your team

You will report to the Head of Financial Reporting and will lead a team of reporting analysts. Finance has a dedicated focus on enabling the delivery of the Bank's strategic priorities.

It offers advisory support and services to help customers plan and budget, purchase goods and services, support the employee experience, manage risk and prioritise portfolio projects, and understand the Bank's financial reporting obligations.
