This is an exciting time to participate in and support the growth of ICYMHS and the wider Mental Health Division at Austin Health

The Mental health Clinician for the Inner North Community Team is a position that will be providing clinical expertise and case management to young people and their families referred into the service. This is a Grade 2 clinician role.

A regular day will see you:


  • Engage with young people and their families within clinical settings:

Work collaboratively with families, co-clinicians and key stakeholders to support referred young people:


  • Provide a high-quality evidence based clinical service that is strength based in its approach to client care:

Provide a clear understanding and practice in the principles of recovery orientated trauma informed and family centered practice:


  • Undertake comprehensive assessments together with, formulation, individualised treatment plans, case management and therapeutic care for young people

To be successful in this role you will bring with you:


  • A relevant qualification and AHPRA registration and/or eligiability for professional registration (social Work and Speech Pathology):

Relevant post-graduate experience in a tertiary mental health setting or other related field with specific experience with young people and families:

  • recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and family-centred approach
- strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- expertise in engaging young people and their families within a clinical setting
-
commitment to working collaboratively with young people and carers to promote self-determination and progress toward recovery goals
