ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a permanent, full-time position from Monday to Friday, preferably based at our corporate office in Perth CBD. We offer a hybrid work model allowing flexibility between the office and remote work.As the Principal Employee Relations, your role involves supporting the HR Leadership Team in developing and executing ER strategies aligned with industry trends. You will ensure compliance with workplace regulations and maintain governance structures.Other responsibilities include:
  • Contribution to global workplace relations activities
  • Development of workplace relations policy and standards
  • Managing complex employee conduct cases
  • Representing South32 in engagements and disputes
  • Reporting and analyzing workplace relations metrics
  • Supporting EthicsPoint governance and reporting
  • Managing risks related to workplace relations
  • Collaborating with People and Culture team on employment changes
  • Interpreting and implementing employment arrangements
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders
ABOUT YOUWe are looking for someone with:
  • Strong grasp of workplace relations legal requirements
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Workers Compensation
  • Experience in risk management and governance
  • Proven ability to advise in challenging environments
  • Skills in coaching and influencing senior leaders
  • Hands-on experience in handling complex employee relations matters
Qualifications needed:
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
