Our Dawson operation is a thriving open-cut coal mine that continues to grow,

The work at Dawson involves handling different fleets of equipment, with a focus on Draglines, Electric Rope Shovels, Hydraulic Excavators, and Overburden Drill fleet.

Aside from the fascinating equipment, Dawson offers a prime location at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, just a short drive away from major cities like Rockhampton and Gladstone.

We're looking for skilled Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Dawson Minewithin theField Maintenance team in Moura, QLD.

As part of the Maintenance team, your role will involve maintaining equipment, handling breakdowns, diagnosing issues, and carrying out preventive maintenance in the field.

Your expertise in working with heavy machinery, including hydraulic excavators, drills, draglines, and other equipment, will be crucial for success.

Overview:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair Draglines, Electric Rope Shovels, Hydraulic Excavators, Overburden Drills, and ancillary equipment.
• Use computerized maintenance systems
• Maintain workshop cleanliness
• Attend to breakdowns and conduct problem diagnosis
• Perform scheduled maintenance and installations
• Experience in fault finding
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Participate in job risk assessments
• Knowledge of SAP preferred

• Current Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
• Demonstrated experience with Heavy Mobile Equipment
• Current Australian Drivers License (HR preferred)

Preferred qualifications: Additional Equipment Tickets such as Elevated Work Platform, Forklift, Working at Heights, and ARC License.
