Our Hiring Partner is Looking for:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize our Shopify store's backend infrastructure which has over 800 products
  • Integrate and maintain third-party apps, APIs, and services to enhance the store's functionality
  • Collaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems
  • Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code, adhering to best practices and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any backend-related issues, ensuring maximum uptime and performance
  • Continuously research and implement new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve the store's backend infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to meet project milestones and deliverables
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed

This Role Requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Shopify and e-commerce platforms
  • Expertise in server-side languages, such as Ruby on Rails, Python, or (Either of the one is must)
  • In-depth knowledge of Shopify's Liquid template language, API, and app ecosystem
  • Proficient in database management, with experience using PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms other than Shopify, such as WooCommerce, Magento, or BigCommerce
