The Opportunity
The ALS Environmental Division in Newcastle seeks a full-time experienced Micro Laboratory Team Leader to join a team dedicated to exceeding client expectations by delivering top-notch results promptly. The successful candidate will collaborate with the management team, taking charge of their team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations following company policies. They will also offer leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to their team.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing daily operations of a microbiological laboratory and team
  • Preparing and analyzing water samples for various tests, ensuring compliance with ALS Quality Work Instructions
  • Organizing tasks efficiently for maximum daily output
  • Completing tasks within set timelines and quality standards
  • Identifying anomalies in results and samples
  • Conducting microbiological sample preparation and analysis
Requirements
  • Experience in microbiological testing labs
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high-throughput, customer-focused environment
  • Desire to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Interest in the Science Industry with relevant qualifications
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
