  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior professional to join our team as the Program Manager supporting the Australian MH60 Romeo Through Life Support (TLS) contract.
  • Reporting through to the LMA RMS VP with a dotted line to the LM-RMS RAN TLS Program Manager based in the US, you will manage the Lockheed Martin sustainment services associated with the RAN MH60 Romeo aircraft, that are provided incountry through a subcontracted arrangement with Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited (SAAL)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the In-Country Program Manager aiding in day to day operation of the TLS program and acting as an extension of the LM-RMS PM team
  • Management, monitoring, and reporting of execution progress of the contract
  • Guiding the subcontractor (Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited) to resolve issues and meet customer expectations
  • Growing a professional relationship with the US Navy In-Country Program Manager/Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) and the local Defence Contract Management Agency (DCMA) personnel
  • Supporting weekly and biweekly status meetings with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), US Navy (PMA299), LM RMS, and Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited (SAAL)
  • Acting as the primary customer contact for incountry program activities
  • Engaging leadership both internal and external to the company while supporting program reviews
  • Preparation of proposals and proposal work statements with LM RMS and SAAL
  • Providing an appropriate level of support on business development opportunities for LM RMS and SAAL

About you:

  • With proven complex problem solving skills and outstanding communication skills both verbal and written; you will be extremely adept at building and maintaining relationships at the highest level. You will have substantial understanding of Supply Support Systems and ideally hold an appropriate degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional experience/combined education and specialised training commensurate with this position.

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

  • Previous experience within defence in a similar role
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Prior experience managing projects, deliverables and relationships
  • Supply Support Systems understanding
  • RAN and/or US Navy
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

Special Requirements:

  • Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or reinstatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance and have the ability to deal with Export regulations of US and Australia.
  • Location of the role is Nowra, NSW.
  • Ability to travel, domestically and internally is required.
