Who We Are and What We Stand For

Peninsula Health is the major metropolitan health service caring for a community of 300,000 people. Our Vision is to provide exceptional health and community care. To realise this vision we need people who strive for a sense of achievement, take an interest in their individual growth, enjoy innovation and looking for ways to improve and have a passion for communicating and connecting with others.
Peninsula Health is a partner of the Southern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (SMICS) along with Alfred Health, Monash Health, and Cabrini.
Peninsula Health has the foundations of contemporary cancer care, offering a diverse range of services that have already undergone substantial growth. There is considerable opportunity to build further capability and capacity to consolidate a comprehensive cancer service, particularly in the context of the Frankston Hospital redevelopment project. This $1.1 billion project will transform services at Peninsula Health by delivering a 12-storey clinical services tower, 130 more beds, new spaces for mental health and oncology services and 15 new operating theatres. The project is on track with main works expected to be completed in 2025.
The Haematology and Oncology Clinical Trial Unit is based within the Department of Medicine and is strongly involved in commercially sponsored cancer clinical trials, its lead investigators are supported by Monash University adjunct appointments to facilitate their work. The current team includes 5.26 EFT Oncologists and 9.32 EFT in research support staff. The unit is committed to expanding research capacity and strengthening partnerships with academia, sponsors, contract research organisations and collaborators. Its researchers are supported by dedicated permanent clinical trial coordinators and research nurses, with the capacity to undertake trials from Phase 1b through to Phase IV, and participate in Tele-trials.
Cancer Services receive support from Trial Hub, the Federally funded program enabling clinical trial access for patients in outer metropolitan, regional and rural areas of Victoria. Participation in the Monash Partners Comprehensive Cancer Centre also confers advantages and opportunities for the service

In representing Peninsula Health, we expect all employees and volunteers to reflect our values: Be the Best, Be a Role Model, Be Open and Honest, Be Compassionate and Respectful and Be Collaborative. We are One Peninsula Health.
