The Role
Our client seeks an energetic and driven Electrical Field Service Technician. You will be responsible for designing, commissioning, and servicing oil and gas-fired combustion systems including boilers, combustors, oxidizers, and fired heaters. This role will see you traveling to various sites around Sydney (and surrounds) in a fully maintained company vehicle.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactive customer support
  • Accurate reporting, to a set plan and schedule
  • Strong skills in reading P&ID schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical circuits
  • Adhere to Australian Safety Standards and industry codes of compliance
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and repair combustion systems


About You
With a proven track record as a results-driven technician, you will be highly flexible, hands-on, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work. Your demonstrated background in the design of circuits and panel layouts, site coordination, maintaining and repairing systems, and your ability to successfully meet deadlines will see you excel in this role.

As a successful candidate, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate with Supervisors' Licence essential
  • Experience in the combustion engineering field is highly desirable
  • Post-trade training in instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of VSD drives and instrumentation
  • Solid understanding of process controls
  • Proficiency in operating proprietary burner controls, gas valves, and actuators is also highly desirable
