About the role:

As our next Head of Quality Management, you will be responsible for leading how we do quality management at Engineers Australia.


Location:

The preferred locations for this role are Canberra, Sydney, or Melbourne As our Head of Quality Management, you will: Lead the Quality Management Function within Engineers Australia.

Develop, implement, and lead enterprise quality management strategies, policies, procedures, process.

You will be working to promote this not only through process and practice, but through actively managing and contributing to initiatives to build the right culture.

Embed our Quality Management approach (QMS/principles and methodologies) across the organisation.
To ensure appropriate assurances and controls, decision making, change management, benefit, and risk management.

Increase quality awareness, build capability, enable decision making by partnering with the business, leadership team and executives though coaching and training.

Coordinate and conduct audits/ reviews, manage non-conformances, and make recommendations for improvements through a compliance monitoring approach.
Lead root cause analysis, investigations and propose improvement solutions.

Establish a quality performance framework to track, report and analyse progress and performance across the organisation's quality objectives/ KPIs.

Identify, assess, plan, monitor risks pertaining to quality; ensure alignment of mitigation plans with appropriate controls and assess effectiveness of risk controls Here's what we're looking for: Experience: Experience or qualifications in Quality Management, preferably within a member-led organization or equivalent.

Demonstrated leadership in organization-wide functions, influencing effectively across complex contexts.
Ability to interpret and tailor regulatory guidelines to operational processes and quality management.
Innovative thinking and creativity to simplify complex issues and deliver efficient outcomes.
Experience in coaching and capability-building.
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment, thriving under pressure.
Strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and stakeholder influence.
Knowledge of quality statistical measurement and performance monitoring concepts.

Qualifications:
Quality Management or related studies.
Embedding Quality Management Systems in organizations.
Familiarity with international quality and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Data analysis and statistical aptitude.
Leading compliance initiatives and audits.
