Looking for a role where you truly give back to the community? Join our friendly team in the Cardiovascular Unit at Central Coast Local Health District as an Operational Assistant.
About You- You have previous experience in one or more areas of this role; working with people in a care setting, undertaking cleaning duties or providing general assistance in a health or aged care setting. You are willing to work within a theatre environment, around surgical procedures, and as part of the broader care team. You have great communication skills and can liaise with multiple stakeholders simultaneously. Ability and willingness to work shifts, on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
What you'll be doing- The Operations Assistant role supports the clinical team, primarily within the operating theatres, to promote the smooth running of surgical services Contribute as part of the multidisciplinary team in the operating theatres to support the smooth running of theatre lists and cases Transport patients within the facility or campus as requested, to assist with patient care and bed management Provide general assistance in the ward/ theatre/ facility as requested to support linen management, clinical staff, store management, bed to ensure the smooth running of the unit. Undertake a range of cleaning duties as directed, to ensure the patient and hospital environment remains clean, safe and attractive. Minimise risks to self and patient through consistent adherence to safe manual handling principles and infection prevention and control guidelines in completion of all duties. Complete documentation and reports applicable to the role in an accurate, complete and timely manner to ensure adequate communication with other staff.
