We are looking for a Senior Veterinarian (Pathology) to join our high performing team at the Biosecurity Sciences Laboratory to:

• apply knowledge and skills in veterinary pathology to facilitate the efficient delivery of veterinary diagnostics

• work closely with private and government veterinarians and other clients to consistently understand and meet their needs, thereby maintaining a high level of customer service

• participate in emergency response activities

As our Senior Veterinarian (Pathology), you will provide veterinary pathology services that support animal biosecurity in Queensland. With Queensland being affected by more biosecurity incursions than any other Australian state or territory, your efforts will be integral in helping the government prevent, respond to, and recover from biosecurity concerns that threaten our environment and economy.

You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:

• independently interpret veterinary findings for the differential diagnosis of animal diseases and to identify notifiable disease cases

• can manage your own work priorities, ensuring assigned tasks are undertaken promptly and comply with NATA ISO:17025

• develop an expert, contemporary awareness and understanding of trends and developments in livestock, wildlife and aquatic animal disease and diagnostic techniques

• are actively contributing as a member of a high-performing team.
