As a

Produce Manager you will be responsible for the overall operations & and staffing of the produce department within this busy, local supermarket. You will leverage off your experience to ensure quality and freshness of all produce, suggest changes to inventory and pricing and purchases supplies when needed.


As this is a family run business, we are looking for someone who is going to put the time & development into staff, run the business as if it is their own & grow with the business.

The Role?

  • Manage department activities related to stocking, pricing and rotation of merchandise.
  • Assist in ordering, receiving, display and sale of all products in accordance to company quality and merchandising standards.
  • Responsible for the efficient running of our supermarket
  • Ensuring a great service is provided to the local community
  • Prepare weekly sales reports for the management.
  • Reporting into management on store performance
  • Seizing opportunities to maximise profit margins & implementing strategy to do so

What do you need?

  • 12 years in working within a produce department with perishables or the grocery space
  • A desire to work within a fast paced, family run business
  • Great communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Must be capable of carrying out objectives under the guidance of the Store Manager and be capable of leading the team to meet set targets
  • Proven experience compiling reports into executive management
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)
