About the role:


This is a great opportunity to utilise your supply chain and logistics experience as you work as part of a team in the delivery of fuel operations at our North WA Inland Operations.

Role Requirements:

  • A key requirement will be the ability to understand and abide by all QHSSE rules and regulations as stipulated by VEA and applicable 3rd parties. This includes participation in all QHSSE activities, initiatives, inductions and training programs.
  • The personnel shall be chosen taking into consideration the harsh working environment of the Pilbara and long hours external to air conditioned environments, including work requiring strenuous effort such as climbing tank stairs, handling of hoses, working with diesel and have the ability to work autonomously once trained and competent.
  • All personnel must pass appropriate fitness to work medical tests as required.
  • Personnel require a minimum of a C class drivers licence
  • Be an honest, reliable and dependable team player with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and show problem solving initiative.
  • Personnel will be required to work on a FIFO roster 8 days on/6 Days off from Perth.

Operator Tasks

  • Unloading of Rail Tank Cars.
  • Operation of site infrastructure including Road Loading Gantry, Tanks, Valves, Pumps and waste oil and water interceptors.
  • Inventory management and control.
  • Empty slops and water tanks when necessary
  • Carry out dewatering of bunds when required
  • Discharge water after storms in compliance with environmental requirements
  • Surveillance inspections of all onsite facilities, including tanks, pumps, pipelines, interceptors, structures, buildings, fences, gates, fire protection systems and roadways.]
  • Cleaning of site infrastructure including Road Loading Gantry, Pumps and waste oil and water interceptors.
