About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a talented Execution Team Leader to join Santos at the Global Headquarters in Adelaide. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager EA MHF, this role involves leading a team of field-based professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects while addressing sector-specific challenges effectively.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to navigate construction complexities, mitigate delays and cost overruns, and uphold safety and compliance standards.


Key Accountabilities Include:
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop comprehensive execution plans, overseeing timelines, budget allocation, and resource management for timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Safety Leadership: Enforce adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies, conducting regular audits, training sessions, and fostering a culture of team well-being.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with regulatory frameworks, including environmental mandates, QAQC standards, and land access requirements.
  • Team Management: Lead and supervise execution teams, from recruitment and training to performance evaluations and task delegation.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenses to align with budgetary constraints, taking corrective measures to address financial discrepancies promptly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, maintaining effective communication with production operations, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise quality control procedures to uphold or exceed industry benchmarks for all construction activities.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contractors, suppliers, and partners, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and resolving disputes efficiently.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop proactive strategies to prevent delays, promptly reporting safety and environmental concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Reporting: Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the execution process.
  • Community Relations: Engage with local communities as required to foster positive relationships and address any concerns effectively.
