About the Role
This is a Casual position within the Anatomical Pathology department.

You will be responsible for routine procedures in the preparation of tissue samples, including special stains and immunohistochemistry. You will also be responsible for preparation of cytology specimens from non-gynaecological sites.

What you'll achieve:

  • Assisting in assessing and maintaining daily quality assurance of the laboratory
  • Produce high quality, accurate and timely preparations
  • Participate in communicating, fostering and developing a team approach with colleagues, support staff and senior staff in providing a high standard of service for users of the Department


Classification for this position will range from BU1 to BU7 ($29 to $35 per hour plus casual loading, plus superannuation).


Your skills and experience:

  • Diploma in Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
  • Experience in in a diagnostic Anatomical Pathology laboratory

About Anatomical Pathology
The Anatomical Pathology department includes routine histology (including frozen sections, and immunohistochemistry), cytology, electron microscopy and mortuary services.
