ABOUT YOU

In this role, you will support in the delivery of key Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, and all aspects of sustainability and social and economic planning and compliance across the business.

The role will work across all business units to facilitate the implementation of key initiatives and to embed a sustainability mindset.

Bachelor's degree in sustainability, community development or social sciences related discipline is desirable, or relevant experience with demonstrated experience in sustainability and/or social performance positions.

If you have experience with Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and economic participation, that would be great.

What will you do :

  • Responsible for the development and facilitating the implementation of Gold Corporations Social Performance strategy, policies, practices, and disclosure, including Responsible Sourcing Framework and stakeholder engagement plan to support the successful delivery of our legacy state battery solution.
  • A key outcome for this role, will be to enable the continual improvement in social performance disclosure as part of our Sustainability and ESG Frameworks and to enable Gold Corporation to define a clear social and economic proposition in the communities we work.
  • Develop and support the implementation of Gold Corporations Social Performance disclosure strategy & roadmap as part of our Sustainability and ESG Frameworks.
  • Provide strategic and technical advice to the business in the areas of responsible sourcing and human rights, stakeholder engagement, community relations, social investment, Aboriginal cultural heritage and relevant social factors, and act as knowledge leader on related issues.
  • Develop appropriate social performance police, systems, strategies, programmes, and training to integrate social performance considerations into business decision making.
  • Develop and facilitate the implementation of a Responsible Sourcing Framework across the business.
  • Develop social performance management plan for Gold Corporations legacy State Battery solution, including a plan for Aboriginal economic participation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Procurement team to implement the Responsible Sourcing Framework including the Human Rights and Modern Slavery Roadmap.
  • Research, identify and anticipate social risks, opportunities and societal expectations and solutions to meet these challenges.
  • Embedding inclusive community engagement approaches to identify development priorities and support the business to contribute to host community social and economic development.
  • Assists in the investigation of significant community complaints and grievances and/or disputes.
  • Develop and implement Gold Corporations approach to social investment.
  • Assist the business to deliver a clear socioeconomic proposition as part of Gold Corporations Sustainability Disclosure.
  • Participate on strategic advisory and due diligence projects as required by stakeholders as a subject matter expert.
