Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain floor equipment and drill string components for optimal performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Contribute to safety initiatives and prioritize completing tasks safely on the rig.
  • Housekeeping: Carry out housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidying, and painting the rig.
  • Physical Labor: Assist in loading and unloading trucks, digging ditches, and supporting crane and forklift operators with drilling materials and supplies.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Rig Moves: Support rig moves as instructed by supervisors.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certificate II in Drilling Oil/Gas (on shore) – MANDATORY
  • Drilling and Completions General Induction (DCGI) or Industry Safety Induction (ISI)
  • Undertake First Response to Fire
  • Operate Breathing Apparatus
  • Apply First Aid (including CPR)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
  • Gas Test Atmospheres
  • Working at Heights
  • Gotcha Kit
  • Wellsite Permit to Work – Holder
  • Operate Vehicles in the field – 4WD
