On behalf of our client, a global energy operator, we are looking for a Rotating Commissioning Lead.


This role will be the Lead/Focal point within Phase 2 team, responsible for the delivery/handover of the Turbomachinery/rotating packages to Operations.


About this role

  • Support the close out of the Turbomachinery Design SOW with the CPY Team in Italy and BCM EPC Contractor.
  • Company focal point for Rotating technical.
  • Consolidation of Turbomachinery documentation reviews both prior to and post Contract Novation.
  • Provide technical guidance/support to the Phase 2b Brownfield team in respect to rotating equipment packages (Seawater Lift Pump, Condensate Rich MEG Pumps, Off-Gas Recovery Compressor upgrades).
  • Lead rotating Commissioning Activities (Preparation and Execution)
  • Deliver Brownfields projects and Phase 2 projects in accordance with the project schedule and budget, meeting the requirements of the project in relation to safety, quality, reliability, operability and maintainability.
  • Support the sitebased teams with the delivery of executed scopes of work inclusive of fully compliant commissioning and startup plans, procedures, check sheets and records and addressing and concerns/queries.
  • Liaise with the commissioning manager and lead discipline team to complete the offshore commissioning of subsystems following the project schedule and priorities for handover to the operations team.
  • Ensure the implementation of the OPERCOM process or similar commissioning / completion system through all stages of testing and commissioning.
  • Development of commissioning philosophies / strategies for Brownfield and Greenfield opportunities.
  • Participate in HAZID/ENVID, HAZOPS's, design reviews, constructability reviews, project reviews, workshops
  • Assist in identifying new project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required.
  • Work with Company contractors to support the definition and implementation of commissioningrequirements within the package testing and delivery program. Attend FATs as required.
  • Witness as appropriate the precommissioning activities performed by the EPC and validation of 'Ready for Commissioning' dossiers.
  • Verification of ICAPS database for the Mechanical Rotating discipline.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of OTP's.
  • Work permit and Risk Assessment creation, verification, and validation for related discipline.
  • Coordination of thirdparty service contractors and vendors carrying out commissioning activities.
  • Ensure equipment is preserved and maintained as per plan and records are kept in order.
Witness/Organise/Monitor Rotating equipment preservation

  • Ensure adherence to applicable specifications, codes and standards.
  • Focal point for Technical Queries/Deviations to Company specifications and Industry codes and standards
  • Establish/holds Technical Authority Level 2 (TA2) accreditation (TBC)
  • Assist for maintaining technical requirements/quality of the Turbomachinery Packages including documentation.
  • As technical expert for all Rotating equipment, report technical problems encountered and provide technical support for the resolution of technical issues and costefficient solutions for brownfields scope and phase 2project scope.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets / environment at all times.

About you

  • Tertiary Engineering Degree (Mechanical)
  • Extensive Oil & Gas industry experience specialising in rotating equipment (Gas turbines / Centrifugal Compressors / Reciprocating Compressors /Centrifugal Pumps).
  • Extensive experience in working in FAT/Construction, hookup and precommissioning phases of a project.
  • High awareness of safe working practices, relevant codes and standards associated with design, construction, pre
- commissioning, installation, hook-up and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.

  • Experience in Package Management of rotating equipment.
  • Preferably has experience working within EPC Contractor team during detailed design.
  • Valid TBOSIET.
  • Highly competent, motivated person with good interpersonal and influencing and decisionmaking skills.
  • Able to diplomatically manage ambiguity, conflict, and uncertainty in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to influence a wide range of seniorstakeholders to successfully support the objectives and outcomes of this role.
