Accountant/ Senior Accountant – Melbourne

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our SMSF team in Melbourne.

What Will You Be Doing?

Your typical week in this role will involve accurate SMSF processing for a diverse client base. You'll have the chance to collaborate with a high-performing team and engage directly with stakeholders and clients within your portfolio. Continuous self-improvement is encouraged through on-the-job learning and personalised training.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for self-managed superannuation funds.
  • Exhibit ownership qualities and efficiently manage your workflow.
  • Collaborate with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Create detailed work paper files, including investment, income, and CGT reconciliations.
  • Process transactions, such as initiating rollovers via Superstream, contributions and benefit payments for clients.
  • Opportunity to train and mentor junior SMSF Accountants.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Knowledge and experience in SMSF processing.
  • Strong technical skills, including a fundamental understanding of the SIS Act and SIS Regs.
  • Experience using Class Super software (desirable).
  • CA or CPA qualification (preferred).
  • A commitment to delivering exceptionally high levels of service, advice, and care to clients.
