• Conduct microbiological analysis on incoming raw material, water treatment plant, packaging, syrups, and finished beverage products following approved testing methods and schedules
• Ensure product safety through timely testing and immediate action on any out-of-specification results
• Investigate out-of-specification results, create corrective action plans, and seek manager approval for implementation
• Participate in root cause analysis for continuous improvement
• Perform monthly GMP audits, provide feedback to the operations team, and ensure follow-up checks are completed
• Conduct daily testing of spring water products and authorize the release of all products meeting specifications
• Coordinate external laboratory testing as needed, take required actions, and maintain records
• Monitor incoming spring water, address issues, and ensure timely resolution with key stakeholders
• Record results daily, file appropriately, and archive as necessary
• Complete annual refresher training
• Participate in monthly safety observation walks, report findings in Beacon, and address safety issues
• Ensure Micro laboratory equipment is calibrated and documented according to schedule
• Maintain equipment, arrange external verification as scheduled, and assist in training new staff

About You

• Tertiary qualification, preferably in Microbiology
• Experience in a lab testing environment and ideally 1-2 years of experience
• Background in a similar FMCG industry role, particularly with water, wine, or juice
• Hands-on approach, willing to tackle tasks directly
• Excellent relationship building skills
