About the role

We are looking for a competent Venue and Event Operations staff member to oversee and organize the Dragway facility and events at The Bend Motorsport Park. You will ensure the facility is presentable to a world class standard, including on and off track for the events hosted at the Dragway at the TBMP.

TBMP is seeking enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and organizational skills to ensure that the Dragway at The Bend provides world class experiences for patrons and competitors.

The Bend Motorsport Park is one of the most significant developments in Australian motorsport history. A state of the art, world-class motorsport facility, The Bend delivers an exhilarating experience for competitors, enthusiasts, and spectators alike. Conveniently located one hour from Adelaide and only half a day's drive from Melbourne. The Bend is one of a kind in providing all motorsport disciplines 'through the one gate.' including circuit racing for cars and motorcycles, Australia's only purpose-built drift circuit, a CIK-FIA standard karting circuit, a rallycross circuit, an international standard Dragway, driver training facilities, vehicle testing facilities, a 4WD terrain park and a rally/off-road facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan yearly calendar with key personnel
  • Plan event according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
  • Ensure the facilities and events adhered to policies and procedures at TBMP
  • Maintain the facility to world class standards
  • Work hand in hand with key stakeholders of the event
  • Ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee hiring personnel (entertainment, services & contractors)
  • Coordinate all operations.
  • Supervise staff (event coordinators, volunteers, caterers etc.)
  • Collaboratively work across all precincts at TBMP
  • Resolve issues as they arise

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in Sports and Entertainment events
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A knack for problem-solving
  • Customer-service orientation
  • A collaborator with leadership skills
