Maternal and Child Health Nurses who are highly motivated and flexible with service delivery and have shown ability to support families from the perinatal period to school age, while forming partnerships that enhance optimal health and wellbeing. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Passionate about providing a Universal health service for children from birth to school age and their families, focusing on promoting health and development within the Hobsons Bay Community.

Requirements:

  • Current nurse and midwife registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate Qualifications in Family, Child, and Community Health or equivalent (as defined by AHPRA)
  • Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse communities.
  • Knowledge and skills relevant to providing the Victorian Local Government Maternal and Child Health service
  • Understanding of the specific needs of families from cultural and linguistic diverse backgrounds (CALD) including first Nations families
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Child Information Sharing Schemes and Family Violence Information Sharing Schemes, MARAM, and Child Safe Standards
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Employee Working with Children's Check
