About the opportunity


The Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the University of Tasmania's brand presence through the strategic planning and execution of a diverse range of events, including Open Days, School Leaver Expos, and Graduations.

This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences for our students and community.

This position oversees a small team of events officers and requires strong leadership capabilities around cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment.


What you'll do:

  • Plan and execute a variety of events, ensuring they align with the university's brand and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement a merchandise strategy that aligns with the university's branding and marketing goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty members, staff, students, alumni, community partners and vendors.
  • Oversee a team of Events and Merchandise Officers, providing task delegation, support, and mentorship.
  • Monitor event budgets, track expenses, and ensure costeffectiveness in all aspects of event planning.

  • Demonstrated ability to led and inspire a team of Events Officers.
  • Proven track record of fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Prior experience in successfully managing a variety of events from planning to execution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Salary details


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $123,548 comprising base salary within the range of $96,071 to $105,597 plus 17% superannuation.
