Our kindergarten is situated in a quiet, leafy part of Mont Albert North, just a short stroll from Mont Albert Primary School, where many of our students go on to attend.

We focus on providing children with opportunities to learn and develop through play. Through play, children learn to develop skills across all areas of development (social/emotional, cognitive, gross and fine motor skills).

We're proud to have been awarded the highest quality rating - Exceeding National Quality Standards (NQS) under the National Quality Framework (NQF).

Description

  • We are looking for a passionate and motivated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team and teach our 4 year old group on a Monday. This role could lead to more days in the future with the possibility of a Director role.
To be considered for this role, the following experiences and qualifications are essential:

  • Knowledge of the NQF, EYLF,
    Child Safe Standards, and National Law Act and Regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Experience in working with children with additional needs.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team with staff, committee, parents and the community.


In your role, you will be actively involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the preschool, and you will work in collaboration with the Director, fellow staff members, Committee of Management and families to implement a play-based program that develops and extends children's strengths and interests.


Qualifications

  • An ACECQA approved Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration.
  • Approved and current First Aid, including CPR, Anaphylaxis, Epipen and Asthma certificates.


 Protecting Children
  • Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector
  • Sound knowledge of the VEYLDF, EYLF, NQS and planning cycle.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proven experience developing and providing high quality educational programs for children
