We are currently seeking a Dungeon Master to facilitate our Dungeons & Dragons group in the Autism Centre
The Role
As the Dungeon Master, you are responsible for preparing for and facilitating Dungeons & Dragons sessions with neurodivergent participants, providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants, and tailoring the sessions and content to suit participants goals and requirements.
You will create the campaign, develop storylines to facilitate cooperation and collaboration between participants, promote social interaction and support the development of communication and problem-solving skills.
You will tailor the content to engage and suit the age / maturity of the participants and encourage creation and development of characters with qualities to aid group cooperation as opposed to competition.
You will accommodate the needs of each participant considering communication, sensory and other individual needs and maintain a safe environment to encourage participation in the sessions.

Ideal personThe ideal person we are looking for has:
Experience facilitating Dungeons & Dragons sessions.
Understanding of autism and other neurodiverse conditions.
Demonstrated experience to providing quality service to those who are vulnerable within our community. Preferably with experience working in the disability or community sector.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to de-escalate individuals who may become heightened.
Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card and registration with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Screening Database and Senior First Aid Certificate.
You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check.To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
a current drivers licence, and
a Working with Vulnerable People Card
