Your Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurological Liaison Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload of clients, offering both low and high-level care. Based at our Wilson Services Centre, you will also travel within the community to provide personalised nursing services, ensuring each client receives the best possible care.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and create tailored care plans.
  • Provide essential nursing services, including continence management, wound care, and palliative care support.
  • Deliver specialized clinical care, such as catheter management.
  • Coordinate referrals to other health services as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with MSWA colleagues, including our Allied Health teams.
  • Travel to clients' homes using our pool cars or your own vehicle (km's reimbursed).

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current registration with the Nurses Board of Western Australia as an EN or RN.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full C Class driving license with no restrictions.
  • Working with Children Check.


Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Community nursing experience.
  • Experience with neurological conditions or rehabilitation nursing.
  • Knowledge of Disability Services Legislation and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  • Experience in palliative care, continence management, and wound care.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality improvement.
