About the role:


This is an amazing opportunity be part of Box Hill Institute's Defence Training Team in support of the partnership between Box Hill Institute and the Australian Defence Force.

The Innovation Manager will implement and manage innovative service solutions in support of modernisation and workforce enhancement.

  • Establish partnerships in support of growth and innovation.
  • Modernise curriculum and pedagogical solutions.
  • Build capability and scalability of products.
  • Create efficiencies and value for money propositions.
  • Enhance the student experience.


This role calls for a strategic and proactive individual who is well-versed in commercial business aspects, innovation and/or entrepreneurship activities in an education and/or industry setting.


Who You Are

  • Substantial experience managing multiple complex programs including program planning, goal setting, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience working in industry and/or with industry partners.
  • Highly developed networking, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide solutions to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities involving diverse interest groups/stakeholders, while exercising tact and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of staff, students and other stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently.

Qualifications

  • A qualification or relevant experience in business, leadership and/or management.
  • Information Technology, research and development, transformation/change management and Leadership skills and experience or related discipline.
  • Existing or ability to qualify for NV1 Security clearance for access to Defence facilities.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training preferred

Self-directed with extensive experience in managing a range of innovation services including student experience, technology, equipment and value for money.


Judgement:

Strong leadership skills including the capacity to initiate, lead and manage in a challenging and dynamic environment to develop high performance and service-oriented culture.


Interpersonal & Relationship Management Skills:
Ability to be discreet with high level interpersonal and communication skills. This includes the proven capacity to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal
