About the Role

This casual opportunity involved in performing consistent tasks combines data entry and mailroom duties. You will be based in our corporate office combined with several days per month based at our government client's office. As a highly reliable team member with a positive "can-do" attitude, you will utilize your keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, computer literacy skills to perform efficient data entry administration and general mailroom duties.

Main Duties:

  • General administrative duties specifically data entry
  • Mail sorting and distribution
  • Mail and courier pickups and deliveries to various points in multiple sites
  • Preparation of mailbags for internal and interstate offices
  • Courier bookings and lodgements with various courier companies
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Respond to incoming calls in the mailroom promptly and professionally
  • Maintain office equipment, office supplies and stationery
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Assist with filing and maintenance document files
  • Data entry and general administrative duties
  • Some heavy lifting may be involved.

Key Requirements

  • Must have obtained an Australian Citizenship at the time of submitting your application.
  • Must have a previous mailroom experience and familiar with working in an office environment.
  • Computer literacy (particularly with using Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to work autonomously.
  • The ability to work under pressure to achieve stringent service standards.
  • Punctual, reliable and hardworking
  • Fit and able to lift large packages.
