Responsibilities:

Financial Data Management:

  • Accurately record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial records.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Xero Expertise:

  • Utilize Xero accounting software proficiently to perform daytoday bookkeeping tasks.
  • Manage Xero accounts, including data entry, reconciliations, and report generation.
  • Ensure compliance with Xero best practices and keep uptodate with new features and updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Xero software usage.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in financial data.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Compliance and Record keeping:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain organized and uptodate financial records, both in physical and digital formats.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax consultants, as required.
  • Lodgements
  • Perform IAS, BAS Super preparation and lodgements.

General Administrative Support:

  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to bookkeeping, such as filing, data entry, and documentation.
  • Payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee timesheets, leave balances, and superannuation.
  • Provide support to the finance team and other departments as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, share expertise, and contribute to process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed Certificate IV in Bookkeeping
  • At least 2 years of Proven experience working as an Intermediate Bookkeeper
  • Strong proficiency in XERO
  • Familiarity with MYOB and/or QuickBooks is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Job Types:

$28.00 per hour
