The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and navigate barriers to engagement in Maternal and Child Health by families experiencing vulnerability.
  • Provide specialist support and supervision for the maternal and child health team to recognise, assess, and address potential risk to children.
  • Work collaboratively with families, community services providers and the statutory system to ensure the best interests of children.
  • Respond appropriately, effectively and in a timely way to reduce risk and support children and their families to achieve improved outcomes.

About you

_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_

  • Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and must hold qualifications in Maternal and Child Health nursing that are recognised in Victoria.
  • Experience in all aspects of the Maternal and Child Health service with a strong knowledge and understanding of current theory and practice issues relevant to the service.
  • Experience in leading and supervising staff to deliver high quality services.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • Current valid Employee Working with Children Check.
