The Position

St John of God Murdoch Hospital has an excellent reputation, benefits from being located in the fastest growing area of Perth and is conveniently positioned next door to the State's flagship Fiona Stanley Hospital.

At present, we are seeking a
Theatre Orderly** to join the Main Theatre team.

As a Theatre Orderly, you will participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, assist in the delivery of quality patient care and provision of support services to clinical staff within the Operating Suite.

This position is available on a permanent, full-time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.

  • The ability to prioritise and coordinate work flow to achieve efficient and effective clerical support service.
  • A demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, patients and all levels of staff.

  • An understanding of and commitment to Quality improvement (desirable)
  • Recent experience in an acute hospital setting, in a similar role (desirable)
  • Attainment of or progression towards PCA Certificate III in Health Support Services (desirable)
