Job Description

CPBS is seeking a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team based in Sydney's inner West. As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for NSW. You'llplay a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners. This position may include a small case load depending on the requirements of the Regional Clinical Manager. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques
  • Undertake Clinical Supervision of Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required
  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Work with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll need

  • A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Solid professional experience in the provision of Positive Behaviour Support services
  • Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • High level oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
  • Current NDIS Screening and Working with Children Checks and an NDIS Practitioner ID.
  • Valid driver's licence and vehicle
  • Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
