The primary goal of this role is to support project managers and engineers by assisting with various design tasks on projects.

Objectives:

  • Supporting project teams with analysis, design, and reporting tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining competencies aligned with the practice of a professional engineer.
  • Ensuring all work is done following relevant legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the team with technical reporting.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops as necessary.
  • Liaising with Consultants and Contractors as needed by projects.
  • Aiding in marketing and promotion of BG&E.
  • Preparing construction documentation and specifications.
  • Providing construction support including response to RFIs and attending meetings.
  • Assisting with report writing.
  • Visiting sites for inspections.
  • Contacting clients directly.

About You

To excel in this role, you'll need experience such as:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools is crucial, experience using SPACEGAS or similar modeling tools is advantageous.
  • A strong willingness to learn and solve problems within a team.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize workload independently.
  • Keen attention to detail with excellent problemsolving abilities.
