The Monash Health Pathology Service operates under the brand name of Monash Pathology and is an integral part of Monash Health.

It is one of the largest providers of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 5 laboratories.

The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional facilities being located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey and Wonthaggi Hospitals.

There are currently 19 collection centres based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.

About the Role


As a Specimen Receptionist you will undertake sample preparation under supervision, enter data into the laboratory information system and assist in maintaining the tidiness and functionality of the laboratory.

Dispatch printed reports, attend to telephone enquiries and assist with general data handling including billing procedures. You will be required to take part in rostered after hours work as required. Fixed Term positions until June 2023.

What You Need to Know
We are seeking several reliable and flexible persons who enjoy working in a team environment with mínimal supervision.

You will have advanced keyboard and data entry skills with high levels of accuracy and will be required to help in the preparation of specimens for analysis.

Shifts are rostered to cover a 24/7 service which includes night shift and weekends across all sites.
