CNC Operator

All our products are designed and manufactured in Artarmon by our own in-house team of specialists. We pride ourselves on Australian manufacturing, teaming up with our sales, estimators production and in-house design/product development teams to produce quality products and solutions for our clients.

Due to consistent growth in our manufacturing division, we are seeking a CNC machinist to join our vibrant team working across our 3 CNC machines, machining a variety of joinery/shopfitting type products, focusing on our in-house fabrication of acoustic panelling, MDF, acrylic, compact laminate, aluminium, timber and reconstituted timber.

Job Description

• Analysing drawings and specifications to verify material, technique and order of processes, and machine settings.
• Ensure correct tooling is chosen, adjust control speed, detailing, material feed and path of the specific operation.
• Resolving issues that occur before or during the manufacturing cycle and recommending changes.
• Loading and unload of materials, running multiple CNC's consecutively
• Ensure output matches job detailing and is always to a high-quality standard.
• Cleaning, stacking and labelling products ready for packing.
• Maintenance, cleaning and reporting on any fails with machines.
• General factory duties when/as required.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years prior CNC Machine programming and operating experience (with Zund and/or Multicam preferred but not essential)
• Ability to follow instructions for operating a wide variety of machines essential.
• Have the physical capabilities to stand for long periods and for some lifting work to WH&S acceptable standards.
• A good understanding of the English language and numeracy skills
• Knowledge of Solid Works highly desirable but not essential
• High attention to detail with ability to problem solve quickly.
• Ability to work independently and within the team.
