Wollondilly Gardens Retirement Village is a self-care village in Goulburn with approximately 100 residents.

About role:


Anglicare is seeking to employ a part-time (every second weekend plus relief for the substantive on-call position when absent on leave)
Village After Hours (Relief) On Call Person at Wollondilly Gardens Retirement Village in Goulburn, NSW.


Key responsibilities:

The
Village After Hours (Relief) On Call Person, is responsible for responding promptly in accordance with relevant policies and procedures to after-hours emergencies and other urgent matters at Wollondilly Gardens when made aware of a situation requiring a response by phone or attending in person, dependent on the nature of the situation

Typical responses include:

  • Ensure that appropriate emergency services have been alerted if necessary.
  • Arrange for approved tradesperson/approved contractors to undertake emergency repairs/works after hours if repairs are urgently required.
  • Attend in person if necessary to assess the above events/incidents, reassure residents, and support them if waiting for emergency services or tradespersons to attend.
  • Ensure that emergency services or tradespersons responding to an emergency have access to relevant residences or buildings.
  • Support emergency services first respondents, tradespersons, residents, visitors, or staff as appropriate to the circumstances.
  • Ensure that premises are safe and secured on completion of an emergency situation.

Requirements:

  • A First Aid certificate and current driver's licence are required as well as a reliable, registered, and insured motor vehicle

Salary and benefits:


The salary range for this position is $30-$35 per hour plus call-out allowances as per the award, and 10.5% employer superannuation guarantee.

Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status. Anglicare also offers other benefits including additional personal leave and paid parental leave.
