The Company


Zoom Recruitment are partnering with a leading specialist manufacturer and installer of automatic door systems and related products, which has established itself in their industry due to their strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.


The position:


A fulltime permanent positions currently exists for an experienced
Electrical Technicians to join their workshop based team located in a well eqippied and maintained Wetherill Park manufacturing facility.

This role will see you assist with the manufacture of a range of high-quality specialist door systems including automatic sliding doors, swing folding doors, revolving doors, security doors, airtight and one-way door systems.

Ttraining and development wil be offered to the succesful applcants and opportunities exist for development within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

As an
Electrical Technician, your primary responsibility will be

  • Fitting off electrical components to the various automated door systems
  • Wire up revolving door canopies and drive systems.
  • Working from electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Roughingin automated door system wiring for controls
  • Perform general electrical maintenance (as required)
  • Inspect and build control boxes and other electrical components
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of control wiring for a range of automatic door systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Testing and commissioning of finished automated door product for site installation
  • Following establshed work procedures and safety practices
  • Ensuring an efficient workplace and maintaining cleanliness in your workstation and the production floor

About you:

  • Relevant Electrical Trade qualifications
    and / or relevant electrical control wiring experience
  • Prior experience (23 years minimum) within a workshopbased manufacturing environment. (preferred)
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Previous troubleshooting, testing and commissioning experience.
  • Selfmotivated, switched on and great at problem solving.
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Organisational skills with a willingness to take responsibility.
  • Efficient problemsolving skills with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe machinery and power tool usage.
  • Current NSW white card
  • Current NSW driver's license
  • Permanent Australian residency
