Drive the operational management of the SEM and eComm team, deliver great results for our customers and retention and operational efficiencies for the business.


Providing thought leadership, pro-active management and serving as the escalation point for all things SEM and eComm Marketing for News Xtend.

Reporting to the Head of Performance and heading up a team of 4, this role plays an integral part in striving to grow the performance capabilities and scalability of the News Xtend Digital Marketing Services business.


A people person and team player, you thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment and have delivered business growth as a result of your proven skills, analysis and recommendations.

News Xtend is a business growing at scale.

This is a role spanning the SMB market so you need the ability to consider strategies and initiatives that will facilitate excellence at scale.

This is a strategic yet hands on, full time role; available for an immediate start.

Who you are


As our Search and eComm Team Lead you will bring your experience in SEM and eComm operations and Account Management.

You will have plenty of experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. display, technology, sales, product and executive leadership) and will be a strong leader, with previous experience managing Search teams.


You will possess the ability to develop strong relationships and engage in strategic conversations with vendors, partners and senior leaders.

Having strong analytical skills, you will have the ability to influence stakeholders using data driven insights while increasing overall results across all paid search marketing.


  • 5+ years working across Search Marketing
  • 3+ Years experience in eComm marketing
  • 23+ Years managing Search Marketing Teams
  • Ability to manage, train and inspire a team
  • Ability to think and act strategically and when required out of the box
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven experience in a clientfacing role
  • Fantastic communication skills (both verbally and written)
  • A datadriven approach to decision making and problem solving
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority and business sectors
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects at any given time while maintaining commitment to quality and deadlines
