About the role

The Return to Work Advisor ensures injured workers receive the necessary support to return to work quickly and safely, following legal requirements and SCC values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective management and confidentiality of all Return to Work files
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Recovery and Return to Work plans
  • Ensure medical specialists' involvement in the Return to Work process
  • Liaise with medical professionals for injury/illness details
  • Provide specialist advice and support to managers
  • Assistance with Actuarial and remuneration return documentation
  • Develop and implement Return to Work policies consistent with SCC's WHS/IM Plan

About you

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Selfinsured environment
  • ReturntoWorkSA Return to Work Coordinator Certificate
  • Demonstrated empathy, tact, and confidentiality
  • High-level report writing skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to liaise with individuals and groups at varying authority levels
