The Opportunity

Our team based in Malaga, WA, is seeking an experienced Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to oversee our Chevron client sites. This is a unique opportunity to work with our drivers and staff ensuring that they meet safety standards and requirements promoting best practice and awareness.

This role will require visits to our Oil and Gas client sites located on Barrow Island and Wheatstone with 3-4 overnight stay once a month.

  • Ensure and coordinate on site compliance with Cleanaway HSE requirements.
  • Maintain employee compliance with defined induction, foundation and specialized courses and driver training and VOC assessments.
  • Providing employee training and foster a culture of respect for safety and the environment.
  • Conduct inspections and investigations and lead safety awareness and compliance activities.
  • Update electronic records of compliance and investigation where necessary.
  • Liaise with client based HSE teams and stakeholders to effectively communicate changes or requirements.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience working in HSE advisory role in a skilled or manual labor environment.
  • Understanding of oil and gas industry or waste management would be preferred but not essential.
  • Current Cert IV Training and Assessment or is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to promote a culture of safety.
  • Diploma qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred)
  • HR License and Forklift License is highly regarded.
