About Us

Multicom Resources Pty Ltd is the only Australian company capable of producing Vanadium and HPA with Government Environment Authority and Mining Leases Approved. We are developing the Saint Elmo Project which will involve the construction of a mine, concentrator and two refineries on site 15km east of Julia Creek. The refineries will produce the critical minerals of Vanadium and High Purity Alumina.

Our goal is for all full time operations personnel to live local in the Julia Creek region.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background to contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our fixed plant equipment.

Desired Skills Required:

The successful applicant must have the ability to adapt to various work environments, work well in a team and have a positive outlook and willingness to assist other departments not really related to their primary role. You will be fit, healthy and able to pass a medical exam prior to commencement. You will possess a minimum of Certificate 3 in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Dual Trade would be Highly Regarded (Fabrication).

Key Responsibilities will include:

As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our machinery and process plant equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, process pumping, piping and valving, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Execute timely and effective repairs to minimise downtime and maintain production targets.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with onsite construction activities, including fabrication duties.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team, engineers, and operators to prioritise and execute maintenance tasks.

What you will require:

• Fitter trade qualified - dual trade highly regarded (Fabrication)
• Proven experience as a process plant maintainer or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in maintaining and repairing fixed plant equipment.
• Familiarity with pumping, process piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and design drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
