About us:

Our current clinical lead (former clinic owner) is leaving to pursue family and farming interstate which leaves open an amazing opportunity in the beautiful town of Boonah.

Scenic Rim Vets Boonah is a 2-3 vet truly mixed practice located in the beautiful Scenic Rim. Boonah is a growing area which is an easy 1 1⁄2 hour drive to the centre of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It has all the facilities you need (including a small cinema) and has kept its country town appeal with gorgeous scenery and national parks nearby.

Located on the edge of town the clinic has cattle yards and crush, mare crush, yards and Portastock crush as well as full in-house diagnostics for those medical cases. Having a personal Sonosite ultrasound with multiple probes, DR X-ray and scope makes full work ups easy.

About the position:

As Clinical Lead you will work closely with your Clinic Coordinator and the Business Team in the day-to-day running of the clinic, and you will be a member of the management team responsible for the professional management of all clinical operations. Clinical operations include managing, training and supervising veterinary associates, graduates and nursing staff, as well as being hands-on in the delivery of veterinary services to patients and clients according to Apiam's high standards of care.

The position is predominantly large animal ranging from thoroughbred breeding and training, pleasure and performance horses to beef, dairy and hobby farms. Each day has a wide variety of cases with clients willing to support workups and treatment.

Boonah is a branch of Scenic Rim Vets Beaudesert 25 minutes away means easy access to two specialist surgeons and the ability to follow cases all the way through and develop new skills.

After hours is varied with support from Beaudesert when required and a large emergency centre 45 minutes away for any small animal cases that need more intensive monitoring.

About you:
  • You have 5+ years' vet experience and have demonstrated mentoring and management capabilities.
  • You are ready to move up into a leadership role and are enthusiastic about leading a team and running your own clinic.
  • You are ready to become part of the Scenic Rim community.
  • You are looking to be part of a great team who you can collaborate on cases but are also excited about mentoring the next generation of vets.
  • You have a strong interest in mixed animal medicine and are looking to continue improving yourself with all the support structures which Apiam can provide.
